With a simple red light on the outside wall as the only indication of what's inside, Crucible is about as close to a genuine speakeasy as you'll find in Asheville. It's small, dark, and intimate, but I love grabbing a drink here and feeling like you're part of a secret club. It's right near the old Wedge brewery, so I like to grab a beer there first, and then walk up to Crucible for a beer/cocktail combo.
