A beautiful neoclassical building, the Malliaropouleio Theater was built 1905-1910 by A. Metaxas with funds from the Lagkadian doctor I. Malliaropoulos. Artists such as M. Kotopouli, A. Veakis, and S. Vempo have appeared on this stage.
