I have been going to The Cow's End since I was in High School in the early 90's. Great staff, always welcoming and friendly. They have lots of healthy options and they really hustle to get your order out. Cash only.
The best concoctions ever. Smoothies, latte's, every imaginable protein drink and combination you can dream up.....Chai teas, ice blends, dairy, non dairy, fresh juices.. Make a meal out of it! Sit upstairs in the loft or out in front and people watch.
$ Probably one of the last "old school" establishments in Venice. All the Venice characters head to The Cows End for coffee. You'll see a line, but it moves quickly. It's a must-visit place if you're within walking distance.
“Growlers to go for beer lovers. Hamburgers here are some of the best around. This place was a “locals only” type pub when I was a kid so we love to support it. Right on Venice Beach.”
“Feast on a menu of indulgent selections, just steps from the sea at Casa Ado’s new brunch. The classic Italian trattoria, known for it’s homemade pastas and stunning views, offers signature dishes like prosciutto with eggs and asparagus; grilled baby calamari served on a bed of lightly spiced green chard; grilled ciabatta with chicken breast, avocado, tomato and melted brie; and more including traditional fare like steak and eggs, and eggs Benedict.”
“This is a neighborhood gem. The sushi is good and the sushi bar is entertaining. The sushi bar is usually populated with regulars, some of whom have been coming since the place opened in the 1970s. Hide, the main sushi chef is a trip. But his sense of humor is off-color so if that's not your style I'd recommend getting a table. But if you're ready for some fun sit at the sushi bar and buy Hide a drink! ”
“Less than a block away...Fun Mexican food Experience. They have it all...Patio dining and take out. Right next to the famous Venice canals. After eating take a stroll along the canals and over the Venice like bridges. ”
“Mercedes Story It’s a story not unlike the film Working Girl. She worked as a waitress at many local spots for sixteen years gaining so much restaurant knowledge that she eventually became the self-made successful business owner she is today, exemplified by the longevity of Mercedes Bar & Grille. Mercedes always likes to give credit for her success to her family, including to her mother for her financial support. For over 20 years Mercedes Bar & Grille, where she is also Executive Chef, serves nuveau latin cuisine with nine different ways to prepare latin food — a mash-up of Brazilian, Caribbean, Cuban, Latin American, Jamaican, Mexican, Portuguese, and Spanish influenced dishes. Mercedes is “fusing Latin fare and flavors together” served in a hip, cool environment. The Grille offers an almost always busy, bustling atmosphere with upbeat lively sounds emanating throughout the restaurant.”
