1989 Arcade Bar & Kitchen is a classic video game arcade, bar and kitchen. From Space Invaders to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, '89 is a retro gaming utopia and great place to eat & drink.

No, 1989 is not the name of a Taylor Swift concept café (although, someone please make that happen), but a Newtown eatery dedicated to the coin-operated joys of old-school games. Unsurprisingly, the café’s soundtrack fires off plenty of plinks and beeps as players face various rounds of combat in Streetfighter II, The Simpsons, Double Dragon or Turtles.

Very fun cafe/bar/restaurant with plenty of boardgames and video games! Try playing Exploding Kittens. Also great for a quiet drink while reading a book/working on your laptop.
