Absolute must do! You might have read about it. This is a wave in the lake Eisbach (English Garden) where locals surf all year long, even in winter. An absolute favourite of visitors. Go, stay for a while and watch the cool kids (and grown ups) surf the Eisbachwelle!
EISBACHWELLE | ENGLISCHEN GARTEN | MUNICH | WWW.EISBACHWELLE.DE One of my favorite places in Munich when I want to escape the city for a few hours or less is the English Garden. You are in the middle of the city but you’re being surrounded by so much nature. And one of the places I visit the most…
“Beautiful nature within the town. Relax and see how nature and urban area can harmonize together. ”
Point of Interest
“The Viktualienmarkt is the local market of Munich. People buy food, flowers and cooking ingredients here. There is also the "Schrannenhalle", where people can buy even more food. The Viktualienmarkt is almost like a "farmers' market" in the centre of the city.”
“I want to be honest: this is probably one of the most touristic beer gardens in Munich. That doesn’t mean it’s bad. Indeed it is one of the oldest and therefore mentioned in all city guides such as Lonely Planet. Worth going because of the architecture and it’s popularity. For a more authentic experience chose one of the others though!”
“Probably the most beautiful place in Germany... at least my absolutely favorite and the reason why i moved to Munich. With an amazing view over the city and a wonderful scenery, this place is a must to visit!”
“The most popular place in Munich. Exactly in the heart of Munich you are surrounded by nice coffee shops, bars, restaurants, beautiful places and also stores for shopping. Take a look and a picture there and everyone will know where you are and will be jealous too. ”
