Lovely Walk along the South Downs way. Fabulous views and great for cycling too . Head into the Village of Firle, follow the signs to Firle Beacon and drive up to the top of the hill . Plenty of good parking at the top of the hill . Choose either direction on the South Downs way, both are stunning .

Wonderful open countryside with views over the English Channel. Cattle and sheep graze freely on top. Spectacular views across the weald of Sussex.

Firle Beacon is fairly close to us but most easily reached by car. The car park is up on the top of the Downs and a short, mostly flat walk in either direction gives magnificent views north and south to the sea. There are prehistoric barrows (burials) along the summit of the Downs, still fairly easily found.
