the eastern train station is just 10 minutes away on foot and 5 minutes by bus (numbers: 155,145,55) from there you can either reach the U5 subway train or take the even fast S-trains, which all leave about 2 minutes apart on average

From here you can take nearly any S-Bahn (commuter train) or U-Bahn (subway) into the city. They leave every 2-3 minutes.
