There's a public Library next to Canada Water station that has events for families. It's a beautiful building inside and out, and has a cafe and a theatre space too.
You can explore the old transportation canals of Canada Water by starting from the iconic library building. Nice walk through this area leads to river Thames. See a different part of London- which not many tourists get to know about.
20-25 minutes walk away, this is a very modern library with a fantastic cafe providing delicious cakes, coffee and sandwiches. Fantastic views of Canada Water from top floor. Beautiful architecture, great for photography.
“Get place to go when you want the afternoon sun! They have a massive patio and outdoor space”
“Excellent restraunt and bar with great atmosphere, 3 minute walk from the property”
“Most drinkers visiting Rotherhithe for a beer end up in one of two pubs. There's the classy old Mayflower for those seeking an historic setting, or else there's the Angel for a cheap pint with river views. The former suffers from too many people in too little space; the latter from a consistently grumpy barman who's found an excuse to grumble at us on every visit. None of these problems affects The Ship. Despite its name, this smashing little pub is the most inland of the three. We were treated to a warm and friendly welcome, despite (we suspect) being the only non-locals in the bar. It's a very pleasant space in which to drink. Quiet little corners and comfortable benches fill the space.”
“If you ever wanted to a completely different London scenery then head down to explore this forest like spot, with stunning views of river Thames area and Canary Wharf.”
