This cafe puts a new twist on calligraphy goods by using washi—the traditional calligraphy paper—for its coffee filters. Washi’s fine mesh allows for a finer filtration of coffee, making for a more fragrant and smooth brew. There’s also calligraphy art and utensils on display—it makes the shop a special space to relax in. After your drink, you can take home the used filter or use the utensils on hand to try writing calligraphy on it. The washi takes on a unique texture after being lightly dyed by coffee.
