Situated a short 10 minute drive from fairlie. The lake offers fishing, camping and a variety of watersports in season or just a great place to relax, unwind and rest. It can be very popular in summer or great for the snow capped mountain views in winter

Hidden away in the South Island's Fairlie Basin, Lake Opuha is a man made lake built with the purpose of acting as a irrigation reservoir. The lake is also a great source of recreation with wonderful fishing, boating and water skiing opportunities. It has a walking track around the perimeter and has lots of birdlife and photo opportunities.

Lovely lake close to Fairlie - good for kayaking and boating. Theirs a track that can be used for hiking or biking too. A nice place for a picnic
