Clermont State Historic Site
One of our best kept secrets. Watching the sun set over the mighty Hudson River is one of our favorite things to do in the summer. Often we have the beautiful grounds almost to ourselves. The park closes at sunset so be ready to vacate once the sun has gone down.
This beautiful historic home is perched on the east bank of the Hudson. The grounds are wonderful for a stroll or picnic.
20 minute drive south of Hudson. The historic manor home and estate of Robert Livingston, whose son signed the Declaration of Independence. House tours available. Does a haunted ghost tour in October and is decorated for the holidays at Christmas.
