Beautiful gardens between the Old Town and New Town and split in two by the Mound. Free admission most of the day. Do not miss: -Scott Monument: climb the 287 steps to the top for a super view of the city. - West End Churches: St John´s Church worth visiting for its fine gotic and St Cuthbert´s…
Princes Street gardens runs along Edinburgh's main shopping street. If the weather is nice, its a great place to sit and watch the world go by.
Lots to explore - and paths up to the Old Town. Ross Fountain recently been restored. Reasonable park for young kids at the far west end.
Great place to walk through or sit and relax with a view of the castle with a picnic right in the heart of the city.
