Bunya Mountains National Park
Marked scenic hiking tracks through the rainforest. View the waterfalls in the wet season. A birdwatchers delight. Catch a magical glimpse of the fireflies on dusk at Allan Stirling memorial park. View the night sky and the beautiful sunsets from Fishers Lookout.
The Bunya Mountain NP offers many walks through tranquill raiforest with huge bunya pines & fern trees, through open forest with grass trees, to waterfalls & scenic lookouts.
One of my very favourite places to go - amazing hikes and great deck on restaurant to soak up the sun and relax with some nice food and wildlife - markets once a month lovely place to visit.
A unique treasure the home of the Bunya Pine with many hiking trails, abundance of wildlife and good facilities it is an easy day trip from Goombungee through the townships of Quinalow and Maclagan. Rising to over 1100m above sea level there are amazing views of the surrounding districts.
