About 20 minutes north of Las Vegas off of I-25, Fort Union is a fascinating historic park and is well worth a visit. The site of old Fort Union (now totally in ruins) it is an important part of our national history, not to mention a beautiful place to spend a few hours over a morning or afternoon walking through.
