The Heidelberg Project
The Heidelberg Project is an open-air art environment in the heart of an urban community on Detroit’s East Side. Tyree Guyton, founder and artistic director, uses everyday, discarded objects to create a two block area full of color, symbolism, and intrigue.

So interesting... it's a whole neighborhood art installation by a single artist. It's a statement about the blight of Detroit and art at the same time. Enjoy... don't be nervous! It's a world famous site.

“This is great for a long walk, run or bike ride. Highly recommend taking a bike down the riverwalk to this. Then you can end up in Eastern Market”

“Premier contemporary art museum in Detroit, although it is more the size of a large gallery. Lots of events happening here so check their calendar online for more info!”
