One for a special occasion. Historic former gym transformed in to an all-day Grand Café and bar. Fantastic setting, serving Mittel-European inspired dishes - and of course - champagne. Booking in advance recommended. £££.
Beautiful building and delicious food. Conveniently located just 15 minutes walk from the flat, just behind Kings Cross.
Lovely building. Staff were good even though they seemed stretched at times. We managed to find a table even though there were eight of us including a four year old. Food was excellent. Menu varied and comprehensive. I'm tempted to go back to try one of their breakfasts.
“Start with a drink on the canal level in this busy, buzzy indoor-outdoor bar. Then head upstairs for a meal, decent options. ”
“Dishoom is more institution than restaurant. London's love of great and authentic Indian good manifests itself perfectly here. The restaurant makes delicious and authentic Indian food in a colonial far east setting. Is great for dinner but prepare to line up if you don't go early, otherwise they do brunch which is also great. ”
“Always looks so romantic but the vibrant atmosphere and warehouse looks with great choice of dishes on menu ....just love to go and have my Friday night fix ”
“one of my favourite places for brunch - a bit on the pricey side but delicious. also a very good place to sit & work”
“House of Illustration is the world’s first public gallery dedicated to the art of illustration in all its forms. The gallery is the brainchild of Quentin Blake, whose iconic drawings you might recognise from Roald Dahl’s books. The gallery plays host to all forms of illustration, from animation to adverts, picture books to political cartoons and scientific drawings to fashion design.”
