If you like dogs, head to the Wells Tavern after a strapping walk on Hampstead Heath. There you can pet dogs until your heart’s content, while sipping on an ice cold beer and tucking into their lamb burger, is excellent!
Great place for lunch especially if its sunny and you can grab a spot outside.
It's right across the street, has great food and great drinks. It's the 'local' but is famous in Hampstead and beyond as one of London's nicest gastropubs. A good pint can be found and their wine list is properly decent. Great outdoor tables in the summer.
Modern European gastropub in Georgian house with upstairs dining rooms and spacious downstairs bar.
“Casual Thai dining in sleek, bijou restaurant with modern artworks hung on white-painted brickwork.”
“Nice bakery. Really good bread. When in doubt, just try the sausage rolls (seriously, seriously the best thing ever (seriously))”
“Smart, modern restaurant with Neapolitan-style pizzas, plus other classic Italian options.”
“Admire the stunning views of the City of London from the balcony, discover hidden treasures and collections of early musical instruments and ceramics and wander through the our 300 year old walled garden, complete with apple orchard.”
“This Italian spot serves a range of salads and pastas, but to be honest it would be missing the point if to not come to L’Antica one of London’s finest Neapolitan pizzas. Choose from a ‘Dante Aligheri’ (a posh Margherita) to the more full-on ‘Massimo Troisi,’ at around £10-12 on average.”
