Hot chocolates in the middle of the city - great place to rest during the sightseeing tour
This place serves waffles (with literally any toppings you can think of), hot chocalate, coffee, etc. Be careful you can easily overdose of sugar here.
Ahoy in Papnövelde Street can be described as sweet tooths’ Mecca, as this lemonade and chocolate bar offers a true sugar shock upon entering. The selection is extremely wide when it comes to lemonades and hot chocolates, stretching from milk chocolate, to dark chocolate, white chocolate, sugar-free…
“There are many French meals on the menu, such as croque mademoiselle (grilled cheese sandwich), truffle omelet, Pain Erdu (French toast) and their specialty; Tarte Tatin (a cake with plenty of apples). These dishes suggest that we can have breakfast here, but main dishes and salads are also featured on the menu. Besides all that, the view to the nearby twisting streets is really pretty from the terrace, and the coffee is delicious. The interior is charming, and it is an insider info that they matched all the colors to the pastel-mint colored coffee machine.”
“The very place to buy fresh bread in the city. Watch out, there is no sign indicating the bakery, you have to go after your nose:) Try the Belgian chocolate rolls or the freshly baked rye bread straight from the oven, hot. We are happy that Józsi, the legendary baker has opened his bakery in our neighborhood.”
“High end, fine dining. A unique restaurant, with unique flavors. Beware though, excellent come at a price...even in Budapest!”
