Bonneville Fish Hatchery
Lovely park, gift shop, and of course lots of fish! Many breeding and holding tanks. Star of the show is Herman the Sturgeon, quite possibly the largest prehistoric fish you'll ever see.
Beautiful gardens and lots ponds with large trout and other fish species. A must see is 'Herman the sturgeon' from the underwater viewing area. That's one BIG fish! Gift shops and snacks along with tours of the Bonneville Dam.
Great for kids to learn about salmon, check out Herman the Sturgeon and close to an educational visit to Bonneville dam.
“This place is worth stopping to check out the huge fish in the sturgeon ponds and the fish viewing windows and see the power of the water flowing through the dam.”
“Take a step back in time and pamper yourself at Carson Hot Springs!. We recommend the historic bath house with it's claw foot tubs and thermal wraps. You can follow that with a massage if you wish. Aah....”
