It's not just us that raves about beloved small bar The Gresham. Gourmet Traveller awarded this whisky saloon Best Bar in Australia in 2015, and it’s won a stack of accolades since. Nab a chesterfield couch and settle in for a session.
Tucked away in Gresham Laneway and looks like an old library. The Gresham prides itself on its high calibre of rum, whisky and wine. Won a number of awards including “Bar of the Year” by Australian Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards 2016.
It is a beautiful bar set in a heritage listed building from 1881, with ladders to the top shelf whiskey and gorgeous leather couches by a fire place. Perfect for those rainy nights. They are also excellent at compiling a good playlist.
Whisky bar on Gresham Lane, great spot for a drink (serves more than just whisky).
An epic "Top Shelves" heaving with quality spirits featuring a ladder - no self respecting bar should be without one.
“Another good coffee closer to the Queens St mall. Fabulous old building too.”
“Blackbird Bar & Grill is an award-winning restaurant and bar on Eagle Street Pier with panoramic river views across the Brisbane River.”
“Fun! that is all I have to say. Bring your dancing shoes as live bands on every night.”
“The bartenders were very friendly and helpful, they even made us some custom cocktails. They have a wide variety of cocktail options, along with a variety of spirits and on tap options. The view of the river and story bridge from the seating outside is spectacular.”
“Hidden down a laneway, this tucked away gem of a cafe has a warm vibe (perhaps thanks to its heritage styling and raw brick walls) with its main gal “Spirit” the Kees van der Westen machine buzzing on the front counter. Strauss serves its own house blend, a rotating single origin and bottled cold brew.”
