Only an 1.15 hour away, this University has a great atmosphere, great student body traditions. Gig 'Em Aggies! Walk around the campus near the football stadium, and grab a cheeseburger at the Dixie Chicken, a College Station, TX icon where you can carve your name and graduation year in the tables, and see a live rattle snake behind glass.
