This is where I buy the bread for my own shop’s soups and tartines. Their Hackney wild sourdough is one of the finest breads in the city and ubiquitous on restaurant menus in the area. A loaf will keep well for up to a week. You can eat in their lovely cafe, too, which serves excellent coffee, sandwiches, and pastries. Check out the adjacent farm shop for ingredients made on-site, including their own stone-ground flour and preserves. You’ll also find Pump Street chocolate and some of London’s finest charcuterie from Blackhand on the shelves.
The best for morning coffee and your choice of loaf...and only 1 minute away from the flat
Nice bakery after a stroll down Broadway market . Very good bread and decent breakfast (recommend the Bircher muesli or Granola)
The E5 Bakehouse is an East London artisan bakery, coffee shop and café. They are passionate about sourdough and the lost traditions of our baking ancestors. Situated under the railway arches, steps from the London Fields station, there is the bakery on one side and their shop/cafe next door. Tip:…
Biased as my friend Ben the Baker runs this brilliant bakery/cafe near London Fields. Arguably the best bread in London, great food and organic produce for sale. Good for breakfast, lunch. meeting friends or working on your laptop.
How's your jet lag? E5 Bakehouse opens at 7am - 7days a week, is a great place to go for coffee, breakfast and sourdough supplies if you're up early! Walk east via De Beauvoir Square and Albion Drive (20mins). If you're here longer why not book a class and learn how to make Sourdough.
“Really good cinema with local feel. Great bar and cafe too. Book online before you go. You can get her eby taking the W15 bus”
“Neighbourhood favourite for coffee & cakes. Does nice things for lunch too, but the cakes are the stars!”
“Outdoor 50m heated Lido - open all year! Fab for the swimmers out there! ”
“One of our local favourites. Excellent fresh pasta, sourdough pizza and one the best Tiramisu in East London.”
