Popular lake that's surrounded by beaches and places to swim. Many nudists here in summer so maybe not for the prudish! The lake is one of the reclaimed open-pit coal mines in the area that's known as "neuseenland" ("new lakes district") that is now becoming a recreation area.
Great place to chill and swim. You can sunbathe here in the summer without wearing any clothes.
It's a lake you can swim in. It's really nice for German standards. Bring a picnic and your swimsuit if it's warm weather. But definitely a lovely place for a picnic.

“Französisches Flair mitten in Leipzig. Hier gibt es die besten Croissants der Stadt, aber auch zum Mittag ist es sehr lecker und am Abend kann man sich vom Küchenchef verwöhnen lassen. Wer etwas mit nach Hause nehmen will, geht direkt nebenan in die Pâtisserie. --- French flair in the middle of Leipzig. Here they not only serve the best croissants of the city, but also the lunch is delicious and in the evening you will be spoiled by the chef. If you want to take something home, go right next door in the patisserie.”
