Owned by John Ilsley of Dire Straits fame who stepped in to save the local pub. It has a small public bar very friendly. The restaurant is larger and serves great food (best to book). There is a small outdoor garden. You can walk there and back from The Hayloft public footpath through the fields or cycle on the road.

Another favourite with people who've lived in the Forest for years, as well as holidaymakers and visitors. Book in advance if you plan on eating there.

Great pub next door who are super friendly. If you ask them really nicely, they might do takeaway for you during the week, not at weekends tho - you need to book and eat in their restaurant.
