We have taken paddle boards and tubes down the river using two cars. One at the top and one at the bottom. The river is beautiful and there are wild horses along the way. The river gets a bit wild on the weekend but is worth checking out if you want to enjoy the desert landscape or do some fishing. We haven't used the tubing shuttles but this is what most people do.

This is a super fun day out! Most people go tubing on the Salt River between May and September. It can take anywhere from two to six hours to tube the Salt River, depending on where you launch, where you stop, and how the water's flowing. You can rent tubes and the bus will take you and pick you up. I strongly recommend wearing a life jacket even for experienced swimmers. Often you can see the wild horses.
