Please, please, please visit Winkel 43 and try their apple pie! It's known to be the best apple pie in Amsterdam, especially during sunny weekends people will line up to get their hands on a piece.
The Jordaan, a trendy former blue-collar neighbourhood, is home to one of the best markets in town: Noordermarkt. Bric&brac on monday mornings. Eat the best apple pie at cafe Winkel, on the corner.
Cafe Winkel on the corner has queues outside on a Saturday mornings. They line up for their famous apple cake. And from here you can tackle the Saturday Farmer's Market.
If you like beers, go to the Biertuin (beer garden)! They have an enormous selection of beers and have a large (heated) terrace where you can have drinks until deep in the night.
Biertuin 'beer garden' is a nice bar / restaurant with a wide selection of local and imported beers. They serve good food as well (roasted chicken!).
