Magnificent church and Maison des Templiers, and the Musee de la marine de Seine.The Abbaye de Saint-Wandrille is in the nearby village of Saint Wandrille- Rancon (there is a lovely gift shop attached to this abbey selling honey products as well as other local gifts ideas).

There is a lovely and manageable WW2 museum within the grounds of the chateau dedicated to the local events during this period. The chateau is open to the public on very rare occasions for candlelit tours in the summer.

This is the closest restaurant to the house and is a wonderful traditional french restaurant. Lovely to walk to the local ferry (3 minutes) and sail across the Seine to take your lunch or evening meals as close to the river as its possible to be! Please be aware of the last sailing back to Heurteauville: ferry times are listed on the board for information.

There is also a good pharmacy here and two bakers. If you choose to have your bread delivered it would be sourced from one of these two bakers. There is also a great take out pizza place beside the pharmacy.
