This is a beautiful park, with lots of difference greenery and vegetation. But also there are plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and events going on here. From concerts to markets - there is always something nice going on here.

On Saturday you will find here the largest organic farmers market. Great place to chill, eat, walk.
There is also a vintage clothing market, and on Monday Mornings there is only vintage; clothing, furniture, art and curiosa. In a great area. Highly recommended.

A lesser known museum - Photography Museum Amsterdam. Small, cheap and great shows that are constantly changing. If you like photography, than this is a must do!

If you go to Central Station you can take a ferry ride here over the water. It's free and only takes a couple of minutes. When you arrive in the Northern part of Amsterdam, you will find a skyscraper with a deck, and swings! Lots of things to see around here. The area is also very cool - up and coming, young, hipster, lots of bars and restaurants and not yet discovered by tourists. So if you want to combine sightseeing with some local stuff, go to North!
