Justine's is an East Austin treasure with delicious food and a very hip ambiance. My favorite is to find a seat at the bar and just dine there as the wait time for a table can be considerable. Make friends with the bartenders and the regulars. They serve food late too, till 1:30 am.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Austin. I go here mainly for lunch, but they have an incredible happy hour and delicious dinners. Occasionally they feature live music. Try the steak sandwich, it's one of the best steaks in Austin and reminds me of Buenos Aires. They also serve one of the very best espressos in Austin, in my opinion. Say hi to Justin behind the bar.

Drinks & Nightlife
The Sahara Lounge is literally one block down the street (sort of a long block, but still just one block) and has become one of the best music venues in the city. It has a dive feel, serves affordable drinks, has a great patio, and sports 2-3 bands every night of the year.

On Thursday nights the Brew (local Salsa band) performs from 8-11 and the place fills up with salsa dancers. The food is great and have a full bar. Great margaritas.

Voted one of the best music venues in America, this place features some of the best blues musicians in Austin, every night. It's dark and perfect for a first date or intimate conversation. Great back patio. They serve pizzas.

This is the closest nice grocery store. It has plenty of parking and there are quite a bit of other shops right there as well in case you want to get some liquor, tacos, gas, etc.
