Why not visiting another part of Tuscany still out the main tourist circuits... the Mugello area is a wide green valley north of Florence where you may visit Scarperia, very famous for its production of handmade knives and cutlery and Vicchio, Giotto’s home town.

Not far from Vicchio you could possibly stop for lunch at Stefania’s daughter beautiful location surrounded by the green hills, where besides the farm, you may enjoy the chef’s cuisine made with the typical flavors of Tuscan ingredients with an innovative pinch of saffron. A very good quality genuine food for very good prices! The Farm produces mainly organic saffron but also many other good quality organic products, from the excellent wine to the saffron honey and beer. Do not miss it! It's Beautiful ! It is now only open to the public on Friday and Saturday and on the same evenings you may eat in or take away their lovely home made meat dishes and often listen to some very good live music. It is a must to share with the locals!

At the end of the road in the little village of La Ripa you find beautiful biological wine and other products made by Raffaella e Guglielmo.
