Hartland Abbey is just a few minutes down the road from Appledore. Part of the estate was recently featured in 'The Night Manager' series. The abbey is open through out the summer, when there are often outdoor theatre events.

Perched on the edge of the cliffs, Clovelly is a place to visit. The street down to the quay is very steep, the views spectacular and there is often a festival on during the year to add interest to your visit.
