This a very nice little village. Most of the buildings date from the 18th century. Next to that, Princess Beatrix (the former queen of the Netherlands), lives in Drakensteijn castle in the village (not open to the public). Next to that, the surrounding woods are great for hiking, and the numerous restaurants (specialized in Dutch pancakes) are worth visiting.

Parks & Nature
The woods surrounding the bungalow are protected, and are therefore great for walking. If you are lucky you can see deer just outside the perimeter of the bungalow.

The Maertensplein is the closest 'shopping mall', which is actually on a square. You can find a supermarket, greengrocer, butcher and a pharmacist, apart from some other stores. Be aware though that the stores in this village are closed on Sundays.

Utrecht is less known then Amsterdam, but definitely worth a visit. Utrecht is a historic university city and well known for its canals and restaurants. The students make it a vibrant and young city which has lots of things to offer.

This museum is on the history of radio and television in the Netherlands. It is also very interactive with fun things for kids to do. It is close to the train station 'Hilversum Media Park', which can be reached by train from Hollandsche Rading (without having to switch trains). It is the first stop after Hilversum train station.
