More formal than your average tapas bar, with good French food and a cute courtyard to sit in at the back. My personal recommendations are the salads and the duck!

There are two of these restaurants in Valencia, and the Asturian-style dishes are delicious (the prawn parcels are a favourite of mine). Also watch for the traditional way in which the waites pours your cider!

If you are looking for the authentic Spanish tapas bar experience, this is it. Nothing fancy but good food, with good portion sizes, and the terrace is usually full of locals.

Local wine shop with wine from all over Spain. Principally a wine shop so they close at 21:00, but there are a few tables to buy a bottle and drink it in the bar. They have a few wines and beers I think too to drink by the glass. I'm not sure the owners speak English but they are very nice!

Parks & Nature
A nice, traditional park to go for a stroll in, without many joggers and bikers. The former royal palace of the independent kingdom of Valencia was situated on its grounds, although unfortunately destroyed in the Peniscular War and today little remains of the palace. It has a beautiful rose garden and also contains the Museum of Natural Sciences.
