Food Scene

Excellent food, craft beer and a bowling alley. My favorite beer? Super Strike! It's only available at Town Hall Lanes. My husband's favorite? Masala Mama. Available at Town Hall Tap (48th & Chicago) and Town Hall Brewery (Seven Corners). Happy Hour runs 3pm - 6pm Mon-Fri.

Classic Italian food with a menu that changes seasonally. I have never been disappointed with a meal there. We've gone for date nights, big birthday gatherings and Sunday brunch. Happy Hour is 7 days a week.

Good food, fun neighborhood vibe. Huge patio. They have trivia nights and daily specials. It super easy to get here from my listing. Just hop on a Metro Transit #7 bus heading north and you'll be there in about 10 minutes.

Parks & Nature

A Minneapolis icon Minnehaha Falls is a great way to spend a day. Follow the trail from the Falls to the Mississippi River and then hike bake to the Falls on the other side. There is a large, shallow area of Minnehaha Creek just past the Falls that is fun to splash around in. Hungry? Take a break at Sea Salt. They also have a bike rental available for exploring ever further. Don't be discourage if it's winter. The hiking won't be an option but it is still fun to see the frozen water fall.

Lake Nokomis is filled with things to do any time of year. During the summer there are two beaches and rentals for paddle boards, kayaks or bikes. There is a walking trail and biking trail and these trails connect to others that cover hundreds of miles throughout the Twin Cities. There are multiple docks for fishing. During the winter months there is a warming house and ice skating. In January Lake Nokomis hosts the US Pond Hockey Tournament. Tons of fun to just watch. People cross country ski or snow shoe across the lake. While it's only open in the summer Sand Castle is a hidden gem of a restaurant.

Shopping

Just like its name says - it is the Mall of America. Anything and everything can be found there and even if shopping isn't your thing it is world class people watching. Make a loop around the mall and you've walked a mile. New shops, restaurants and entertainment destinations are constantly opening so definitely check it out.
