RESERVE as soon as you know you are going to Havana! The food was the best we had in Cuba and absolutely delicious. Everything from the traditional beef to fresh fish was mouth watering. Very enjoyable drinks and the ambiance is one of a kind. Great for a long late lunch to really slip into vacation mode.

Definitely, there is nice view of the ocean and sunset, I highly recommend to make your reservations around the sunset period. Also, requested your table either by the the pool or at the second floor. Before we got there, we thought the table by the sea would be the best.

Had the fresh Red snapper and it was great. Very nice restaurant. Handles large groups well, may need reservation.

I adored Hemmingway and had to stop by this little bar that he loved just half a block from Plaza de Catedral. Yes, it gets crowded, but I got a bar stool, so I was happy. If you want great music when you visit Havana, you must spend time seeing La Zorra y El Cuervo on Calle 23. We arrived at 10:00 pm when they open and waited in the long queue. Our 45 minute wait was completely worth the wait.

Paseo AvenueThis is a nice little spot right across the street from the Hotel Melia Cohiba. Good jazz and decent drinks. The combo we saw featured a good frontman on vocals and horn, a very good bass player on one of today's obligatory 6-string instruments, great drummer, and a good guitarist.
Come here for a sunset drink, overlooking the sea. It is a step back in time, wonderfully restored, ideal setting. Great pina coladas. View of the ocean is spectacular. Walking distance from the apt.

Wear good walking shoes. Plenty of cobbles. Get lost in the squares and alleyways. Stop for a long lunch at the many quaint places.

Other squares nearby but this was our favorite architecturally and lots of folks simply taking in the aura. Hemingway's local bar is just a couple of blocks away.

The park is lovely with rows of American class cars, horse carriages and people just enjoying the environment. It's nice to walk through the park and see everything around and enjoy the architecture.

Granma Memorial is just behind the Revolution Museum where you can see the famous Granma itself and some other vehicles used during the revolution, planes and the tank used by Fidel Castro at The Bay of Pigs.But at the same time, it will be a nice experience to see The Revolution Museum.

Around Plaza de Armas you can find local people selling old books, coins, old lp's and such things on the street. It is also very close to Castillo de la Real Fuerza which is a nice small castle, a museum at the same time which has a beautiful view of the sea and the city. A good place to rest during your visit to old Havana.

A good place to rest during your visit to old Havana.
El Morro, is marvelous both during the day and at night. You go to El Morro by passing through a tunnel so def. You have to take a taxi. If you get there around 6 pm, you can find a chance to catch the sunset and have enough time to walk around. Castillo De Los Tres Reyes Del Morro
El Morro, is marvelous both during the day and at night. You go to El Morro by passing through a tunnel so def. You have to take a taxi. If you get there around 6 pm, you can find a chance to catch the sunset and have enough time to walk around. There are several restaurants nearby as well and at 9 pm there is the ceremony of shooting the cannon.
As you approach the entrance to the University of Havana, you have the many steps to walk up to the campus. Interesting history, as Fidel Castro was a law student here in 1945 and it was here that he entered the world of political activism. It is only a few blocks from the condo.

Looks impressive and good to see with your own eyes. There is plenty to see and you can go up the tower/ monument to get an aerial view of surrounding area/ city. It's not far from the apt. It's fun to go there in a coco taxi.

If you are taking the ferry across from Havana to Casablanca, to experience the cannon ceremony, you'll walk up to the statue, on your way. It's pretty cool and lots of folks having out; some musicians playing; and a great view of Havana, especially watching the sunset!

Anyone in the arts—this is a place you must visit. An actual working silkscreen shop that produces some of the fine art prints you've either bought off have been coveting during your trip to Havana. This operation houses many silkscreen tables as well as letterpress machines. Consider having letterpress business cards printed during your stay (if time permits.)

Water is great body surfing is super fun, and waves were perfect. Ate at the restaurant near where our taxi dropped us off (ask the taxi driver, they have different drop-off points at the beach). The service lobster plate and it was delicious. We took beers from there to the beach.

The white sand is soft. Almost like icing sugar! The beaches are clean and the water is an amazing blue!
