Beautiful sloping hills down to Hudson River - great for hiking year round and EPIC for sledding when there's snow on the ground. Tours of the house are offered year round but catching it when it's decked out for the December holidays is worth the trip!

You can hike it, but I would highly recommend biking the length of this trail. It offers beautiful views and gradual grade changes. Family friendly and lots of fun.

Burger Hill (as the locals call it) is on Route 9G as you head north to Rhinebeck. It's a neat little (?) hill that's a total calf burner by the time you get to the top. From there you can take in the beautiful 360 degree panorama of the NY Catskills to the west and the MA Berkshires to the east. When there's snow on the ground - it is an INCREDIBLE sledding destination, offering everything from gentle baby slopes to scream-your-head-off runs down the steeper sections.
