If you're from outside Colorado, you're probably thrown by the idea of a Colorado winery. What's really going to knock you over is the fact that many of their wines are on tap and in cans. Big, sprawling space. Excellent patio. And some good wines. (Not great. I'm not going to lie. But pretty good nonetheless.) It's really lovely. And the size of my pinky finger. It used to be the hands-down best place in Denver to take out of towners, but it has gotten more mainstream over the past 5 years or so. Enter through the Oxford Hotel. You can order from the McCormick's menu and take in the art deco splendor. The placed opened in '33, and it's modeled after a lounge on the Queen Mary. Go see it. Go for a concert -- any concert -- at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater. Go to Film on the Rocks. Run the stairs in the morning (it's quite the workout). Or walk around and snap 100 pictures. Don't leave Denver without going to Red Rocks. If you're not seeing a concert there, consider spending the morning at Red Rocks.
