On the super hip York Blvd about a mile away, Block Party is in the walking section where you'll find many bars and fun boutiques. It has a giant shuffle board, Wii games projected onto walls, and hot dog carts! Definitely a cool spot for a fun time.

Quick, easy, basic, and affordable family food.
The menu here seems to be ever changing and always good! One thing that never changes though is the burger, and after trying it, I see why. I'm not sure what makes it so phenomenal- the puffy brioche buns or the quality of the ingredients. Whatever it is, it's among the best burgers I've ever had. Ever.
We've also had a filet mignon here, bolognese, and a risotto with lobster butter. Everything was mouth watering.
For the starters, try the edamame hummus with fried pita chips, shaved broccoli salad, and/or duck liver.
Bottom line. You can't go wrong with anything you eat here. Enjoy!

The restaurant itself is very inconspicuous and very easy to miss. The interior of the restaurant is boldly decorated with a beautiful emerald velvet couch in the corner by the bar. You must try the chicken and waffles!
Cozy diner with great breakfast! Also try the pulled pork sandwich. The food was yummy in general. I had one of their house specialties called the Noah's ark which was pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Obviously pretty basic, but good at the same time.

They have cheeses and cured meats on display, and even sell other items such as jam, wines and spirits. Prices are a bit steeper than what you would find at your neighborhood market.
This classic Eagle Rock fixture is your classic LA diner. Great breakfast and lunch options. This place bustles on the weekends, and for good reason - it's just good food, and very reasonably priced for what you get. It's just good ol' classic American food. They randomly have Thai food as well on the menu (I think the owners might be Thai it seems). It's open till 4pm, just FYI. Highly recommend!

The Americana is one of the best shopping malls in Los Angeles. Great for families and groups for a fantastic shopping experience. They have a live music fountain as well as a park in the middle of many famous name brand stores and restaurants. A must-see!
