This café is perfectly situated for a coffee in the morning, for lunch, or for drinks at any time of the day. The owner, Melany, and her staff are very welcoming and constantly strive to improve the menu and the ambience. You can sit outside under the trees that line the main street when the weather is good (a bit noisy due to passing traffic, but excellent for watching the world of Maubourguet pass by), or inside when it's cooler.

During the Marciac Jazz Festival, the selection of different bars, restaurants and food kiosks, many open only for the festival, often in residents' back gardens, is mind-boggling. It's a delight to wander through the streets and decide on the spur of the moment which fare you'd like to sample.

Parks & Nature
An absolutely stunning English-style manicured park with a huge variety of flowers, bushes and trees, including Lebanese Cedars. The garden contains sculptures, peacocks, a cloister, a farm animal enclosure, a bandstand, a horse-drawn carriage for rides, an orangery, and an open-air cafe, as well as the Musee des Hussards which is well worth visiting.

It's worth attending one of the spectacles when the birds are flown, but also lovely just to see them at rest in their cages. They have an Andean Condor, as well as many other birds.
Lovely animal park showcasing animals and birds native to the Pyrenees in spacious, attractive enclosures on the side of a hill. It's beautifully presented, informative and enjoyable, especially if you go at feeding time.

The impressive large Roman floor mosaic of Le Dieu Océan was found in a farmer's field nearby and painstakingly transferred piece by piece to this very neat and clean modern museum. There are also some Neanderthal and other very ancient tools, as well as some Roman coins and pottery.
