Goose Eye Mountain is located in the 30,000+ acre Mahoosuc Public Reserved Land managed by the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands. Visitors need to be prepared for a rugged, remote backcountry experience as public reserved land units are not staffed as state parks and the Mahoosuc Unit is particularly remote.

Local Snowmobile Club: Polar Bears maintain the local and ITS 82 Trail System. Miles of trails that connect all nearby towns offering easy and off trail riding, nearby fuel and food make this area incredible. My son and I ride nearly every weekend and would be will to do some guides tours, just ask!

On Google maps this is called Bull Branch Road, but it might not be marked. On this road you should see a small sign with a swimming icon that says,” .5 miles,” and a larger sign that says, “Mahoosic Public Land.” Continue on until you see a small parking lot on the left. Park and walk back down the road from the way you came, and you’ll see a couple of picnic tables, and then a line of rocks.

Rumford Whitecap Trail is a 5.3 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Rumford, Maine and is rated as moderate (1,610 Feet). The trail is primarily used for hiking, downhill skiing, and snowboarding and is best used from December until April. As everyone said, the 360 views at the top were amazing
