It also has a wonderful park that has music out of the gazebo every Friday in the Summer months! Also has the Main Beach of Northport on the south end.

If you plan on renting a boat (can rent from North Shore Outfitters) on your trip its worth a look! Its owned by the Leelanau Conservancy; I helped them put up the sign on the island a few years ago. Its a bird sanctuary now. Pro Tip: stay up wind as the smell from all the gulls can be overwhelming.
