This is rather big lake just near our house as well. There is a trail you can walk around it. Takes about 2-3 hours. Fantastic place. This is Reykjavík citizens outdoor area.

It is fantastic to walk around this lake that is in our backyard!!! The circle around is 3,2 km, about 40 min walk. Find Icelandic nature just beside your house :)
