Food Scene

Most famous pizza in Treviso: Top spot and excellent pizza. The locals eat here too. Da Pino has wood oven style pizza and is very good. Pair that with a .70 litre bottle of Italian beer, well chilled!

A unique experience. Beautiful decor and inviting. Huge Restaurant once you pass the main bar. The pizza is focaccia style, the service is good with some understanding of English: enough to provide guidance of the menu.

Where Tiramisu' was invented..... Pay a visit if you are in Treviso. The menu combines traditional Italian flavours and techniques with quirky ingredients such as kumquats. The decor is rustic and still very classy. Service is impeccable too.

Here you will probably see people queuing at anytime. And do not surprised! The ice cream is incredible and the cone is filled with chocolate before the ice cream is put in... Amazing!!

This little bar has all the charm you would expect of a Venetian bacaro. Friendly and helpful staff, a good selection of cicchetti-style snacks, a good range of wines to suit all tastes and budgets. It also has seating outside. A great place to stop by and relax with friends.

It is right next to the open air daily fish market...there aren't that many places where you know you are getting freshness. The decor is either designed to perfection to mimic an authentic trattoria, or it simply is an authentic trattoria! The service is natural - kind and helpful at all times. The chef - knows what he is doing both for the fish dishes as well as meats. House wine is good too, but that isn't uncommon in the region. Recommended!

If you never had stracciatella with a burger before, this is a must. Plate of fries are going to be one of the best you will ever have. The service is fast and extremely friendly, too!

For a fast or slow dinner or lunch it depends on you. The local is very nice and typical; it has not table or chairs so be prepared for standing up, but I'm sure you'll be satisfied: ask whatever kind of salumi you want and prepare your sandwich according to your taste: no limit and always the same price. Good choice of local wines.

Sightseeing

This is a towpath I go along very often as I live nearby. I never tire of it as the river, flora and fauna are constantly changing with the seasons. You can follow it for many kilometres on foot, cycling or running. It's very picturesque and relaxing and if you avoid mid afternoon when there are more people, you have it all to yourself. Late afternoon in spring and summer brings out the beautiful colours of the trees and flowers. Those who are good walkers will eventually come across some lovely old villas too. A must for the keen wildlife photographer.

This wine tour in the middle of the Prosecco hills will certainly not disappoint you. It is one of the most interesting things you will ever do in Treviso. Pietro will guide you on the tour; he is so passionate about what he does that the tour is really engaging and you get to learn about the history of prosecco, how he now makes prosecco and you get to try both of his Proseccos. He speaks fluent English so it makes life a lot easier too.

Arts & Culture

The Gypsum museum is really interesting and nicely organized. There's a section dedicated to the statues ravelled during the war. You can also visit the house were Canova was born and a little botanical garden.

This museum's collection is extremely sophisticated and beautiful. It gives a very clear picture of the artistic scene of Treviso during the last decades of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century. Impressionism, realism, divisionism, sculptures of all sorts and even symbolism all in one place and perfectly presented. If you love art, this museum will be a beautiful surprise that will also enlightened you on local artist. I strongly recommend visiting it. Architecture lovers will find it interesting as well for its structure, that is the result of a well done renovation of the old building.

Parks & Nature

Beautiful Caves!!! Nice way to spend a few hours getting fresh air and step back from reality. It doesn't take much time to walk through but it is certainly worth the trip. The wood does get a bit slippery, just take your time. There is also a restaurant at the end.
