Right across from Poipu beach, Brennecke's has everything from pupus to hamburgers to fresh fish entrees. Not fancy, dress casual, but fun and friendly. Reservations recommended, but usually not necessary. Try the fish and chips. Yum! They also have nice music several nights a week and a second happy hour starting at 8:00.

Reservations recommended, but usually not necessary. Try the fish and chips. Yum! They also have nice music several nights a week and a second happy hour starting at 8:00.

Just behind crazy shirts in Koloa, its tucked into a wee little shopping plaza and really only locals know about this place-so shhhh. Check out the amazing crystal singing bowls in the store across the plaza.

Although Kalaheo Cafe serves three delicious meals a day, we love this place for breakfast. Just 5 minutes away, the food is delicious, coffee good, people friendly and ambiance cool and casual. If you do go for lunch though, munch on some garlic fries while there. You can't go wrong. They are closed from 2:30-5:00

It's on the main hwy, just 2 minutes away, right next to 7-eleven, and serves up delicious bagels with their signature jams every morning alongside other pastries to go with your morning latte. Their jams are famous on the island for rich, delicious and unusual flavors and make great gifts (if you can stop yourself from eating them first).

Its not budget friendly, but if you feel like a splurge, this is a great place to indulge your senses. Or just stop by for some pupus and cocktails on the lawn facing the blue Pacific.

This is a smaller grocery store, but it is pretty complete and only 5 minutes away from the house at the end of Koloa town. The parking lot is crowded and so are the isles, but its a quick run for supplies and easy to stop at from Poipu or Koloa.

I have two words for you: "Trivia Night!" Rob's actually has great entertainment 7 nights a week. The line up changes, so check them out on line for more info. The early entertainment is usually acoustic, wonderful and free! Later there is often a cover with a more nightclub scene. The food is local and good, the drinks are refreshing and the atmosphere is fun. Oh...back to trivia night...Thursday at 8:00 (or go earlier for dinner), its a blast!

On the hike, you’ll pass through the Kilauea Forest and then the largest mahogany plantation in North America. Then, the trail opens up and you’ll enjoy impressive views of the Namahana Mountains, which means “the twin branches” in Hawaiian. Go to the Mini Golf office to sign a waiver and get more information. SO WORTH IT!

Go to the Mini Golf office to sign a waiver and get more information. SO WORTH IT!
