This is a very small restaurant so do make a reservation to avoid being disappointed by a long wait. Izakaya is traditionally a place where you drink sake and snack on small plates (like Japanese tapas), and you'll find some interesting stuff on the menu like gizzard and tongue. Izakaya Sozai is also a great place to grab a savory bowl of rich creamy tonkatsu ramen.

Drinks & Nightlife

Enjoy music, creatures, and cocktails every Thursday night from 6–10 pm for half the price admissions. This to me is the best way to see the Academy of Sciences if you are 21 and over. They feature a new theme each week, after-hours access to all exhibits, and special programming.

Essentials

Good variety and selection and much bigger than a neighborhood convenience store. It's actually just like a Safeway disguised as a fancy supermarket. Go there and get everything you need.

Lovely walk along the south west of San Francisco where you can catch great views of Golden Gate Bridge and the coast. My favorite time to see it is when it is foggy.
