Because it's a nice place near the main highway, but no disturbance. They offer nice music, special programmes. Musicians from abroad might be there if you visit the place, from bands like Steel Pulse and UB40.

In this area the beaches are more quiet than around Kololi. There are bars like Kunta Kinte (near Palm Beach Hotel) where you can enjoy the beach and hanging around, good food. Kombo Beach Hotel has good food. Lebato is more near Fajara, very nice local restaurant and some huts for lodging. Plenty of guides available for bird watching tours.

A visit gives you a good idea of how people traditionally lived here in the Gambia and West-Africa. Not too big, easy to combine with visiting the famous Tanji fish market or the beach (which is quiet around the museum area).

Because it was a beautiful place near the beach. It has been changed in 2017-2018 and lost a lot of its authentic character. But it's still worth a visit, sit there quietly in the shadow, while you see the monkeys around you. You don't need to take a guide, nor food for the monkeys.

Because you will see crocodiles and you will be able to touch them. Take a guide and ask them to tell you about the crazy amount of crocodiles who live there. Don't forget to ask them why the pond is sacred. There are some good stories! There is a small museum, worth a visit!
