Visit the caves on outgoing tide to experience the enormous caves and swim in the rock pools left behind. Important you check the tides before entering caves.
Great swimming spot in the lake, located in front of the caravan park. Mix of sandy bottom and sea grass. Easy drive from the house or for a good walk, follow the lake passed the football field, the fish co op, towards the Osmond Reserve pathway. Follow this pathway till you reach the swimming area.
After your swim you could continue following the pathway and boardwalk around the top of the headland and this will bring you back towards Swansea Channel.

Head to the Swansea bridge for a chance to watch the bridge open up and the big boats and yachts head out to sea or come back in.
The foreshore pathway is a lovely flat walk all the way up to the Swansea Lakeside Caravan Park

Easy drive through the Munmorah State Conservation Area, follow the signs to the beach. You do need to pay parking fees but worth the swim. Check surf conditions to ensure the beach is safe to swim at. Not a lot of shade, so take a sun shelter.

Each play space caters for the ages and if you have your bikes or scooters, there is a little bike track to follow. Picnic tables are scattered inside the fenced playground and there is ample grass space to set up a picnic.

The Breakwall at Blacksmiths is an easy walk with wonderful views of the channel.
On the way out to the breakwall you will find Grannys pools, a small bay to swim in.

Easy walk along the calm waters of Salts Bay. For a quick walk, the first beach is a must, for and extended walk, cut across to the second beach and when you get around the corner you can watch the boats cruise through Swansea bridge.

Small beach at the mouth of the Swansea channel. If your dog likes to do some rock hopping, you can park close to the water and walk down to the beach. Head right and walk around the rock platform to some cool swimming holes. Tip: there is a path at the other end of the parking lot, closer to the vegetation and beach sign.
Note: if there has been large swell, this beach can hold a lot of seaweed, which after a couple of days, can get a little smelly.
Second note: if you are fishing off the rocks, keep an eye out for the resident seal and also dolphins that swim between the island and the shore.
