Nagles Bagel's is our go-to breakfast spot. They bake their bagels fresh every morning and serve excellent drip coffee and espresso drinks. The cafe provides a focused atmosphere. Fast-wifi and tables with outlets make it a perfect spot to sit and work for a few hours.

Blue Sky is a perfect destination for pastry lovers. They are just a couple blocks away and serve simple pre-made breakfasts.

Hammond's is the best value meal in the neighborhood. We eat here at least once a week! I recommend getting one piece of chicken and a bake for $5. I highly recommend their jerk sauce: the more the better!

Spectacular home-style Italian food! Their pizzas are decadent and their pasta is so so fresh. Add in their house wine and you have everything you need. Highly recommended for a tasty night out.

PLG is one of my favorite local nooks. Their food is made in-house and their coffee is bottomless. Their staff is always welcoming and friendly. This is a great spot to sit with a book or a laptop and work for a while.

I love Barboncino because it's a beautiful late-night bar that also serves delicious pizza. You cannot go wrong here. Everything here is delicious but I particularly recommend their Rosemary cocktail and Marinara Pizza

Covenhoven is my favorite beer bar and shop in the city. Comfortable ambiance, excellent selection, and a beautiful backyard. Highly recommended and great for a 20 minute or 2 hour visit.

While it's about a 10 minute walk away, this is a fantastic grocery store. The have a brilliant produce selection and a wide selection of quality, healthy foods. They have a delicious deli with lots of food and cheese to-go.
