You will need least a full day. Often guests will stay over one night at Grand Canyon so they can explore for two days. We have had guests do it in a day. We also had guests flying out and decided to do a picnic the night before and stay there.

Just two and half hours to Wahweap, Lake Powell.
This is a fantastic little local gem. We have hike this many time with our kids and grandchildren. It is only a 25 min drive.

This lake is a little rocky but we love it as it has no swimmers itch like Sand hollow. Rent boats and waverunners with our discount code. Dig paddlesports has paddle boards but we do not have a discount code with them only Mad Moose rentals.

This place is a local favorite! It has the most amazing pizza's and local draft beer. Our favorite pizza is the garlic mushroom truffle pizza. We love the hefeweizen beer. If you go for breakfast the Garrison is so yummy! The best part of all is the outdoor seating and views!

Buying Alcohol
You can buy beer and items like Smirnoff Ice in the grocery store or gas station. However, if you are looking for Liquor and wine you will need to go to the State Liquor Store in Hurricane by the freeway. The hours are 11 am -7 pm Tuesday thru Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday. It is a 20 minute drive from the suite. However, Bee's Grocery Store at 1045 S Central St, Colorado City, AZ 86021 is open from 6 am to 10 pm everyday of the week. They have liquor and wine. It is a 32 min drive and is on your way back from the Grand Canyon and Lake Powell.
