This is only 2 miles from the property and in my view has the most beautiful gardens of any Country House. There is a huge outside play area for the children with paddle boats, swings and much more along with an idyllic train ride. Superb cafe and also a sculpture park. The House is also open to visitors with a teddy bear room. Well worth a visit.

The most extraordinary place full of large rocks left standing from the glacier days and are great to climb and explore. And the views are superb. Do be careful with small children as some of the rocks do have shear drops on the other side. A perfect place to picnic and it is free. A great day out.

Brimham Rocks Road
Brimham Rocks RoadThe most extraordinary place full of large rocks left standing from the glacier days and are great to climb and explore. And the views are superb. Do be careful with small children as some of the rocks do have shear drops on the other side. A perfect place to picnic and it is free. A great day out.
1 mile from the property, this is great for small children, lots of animals and a great cafe. The farm shop put on different events so worth checking it out.

There is a super visitor centre which tells the history of the place but nothing prepares you for the wonder of Abbey and then the beautiful water gardens, take a picnic this is a day visit, it is National Trust. Or if you just want a lovely walk enter via Studley Rodger and drive into the park. From the parking area go down the hill and turn left past the lake and follow the water over the seven bridges.
